Osimo, the ancient Auximum of the Romans, is a city that still preserves, under its medieval streets, the beating heart of a millennia-old era. This itinerary invites you to walk through its streets, discovering the places and artifacts that tell the glorious past of the city, when it was an important strategic center. A journey that combines the beauty of the village with the deep history that has shaped its character.

Our route starts from the civic heart of the city, Piazza del Comune, and the nearby Piazza Boccolino, spaces that have been the center of Osimo's social life for centuries.

The first stage takes you to the Lapidarium, an open-air museum inside the atrium of the Town Hall, where you can admire ancient inscriptions and, above all, the twelve headless Roman statues, a symbol of the city's identity.

Continuing, you reach Piazza del Duomo, a place of great historical and religious importance that offers a splendid view of the surrounding landscape.

You then reach Porta Musone, one of the ancient gates of Osimo, whose imposing structure reminds us of the defensive past of the village.

The itinerary continues towards the Galleria del Figurino Storico, a unique museum that, through miniatures and lead soldiers, narrates the history of ancient epochs.

Our journey through time concludes at the Fonte Magna, the oldest and most important spring in Osimo. Dating back to the 1st century BC, this Roman nymphaeum is the ultimate symbol of the city's past and its strategic importance.
